Bernard Smith is a family owned and run technology retailer based in Barnstaple, the main town and commercial centre of North Devon. We are located in the High Street opposite the HSBC bank. We are open between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 5.30pm on Saturdays. We do not close for lunch. We are not open on Sundays or Bank Holidays. We do open on occasional Sundays during December, please check with us to confirm before calling on a Sunday. Below is guidance on how to locate us.

If travelling by road:-

From the East or North exit the M5 at junction 27 and follow the A361 North Devon Link Road past Tiverton and South Molton to Barnstaple. At the Portmore roundabout follow the signs for the town centre and park in one of the town centre car parks. The most convenient is in the Green Lanes Shopping Centre.

From the south west take the A39 from North Cornwall, passing Bideford and then arriving at Roundswell roundabout. Alternatively take the A30 and A386 via Okehampton and Torrington. At Roundswell carry on across the roundabout towards the M5 and take the slip road left at the next (new) Lake Roundabout following the signs for Ilfracombe (A361) and the railway station. At the next Sticklepath Junction, turn right (3rd exit) towards the town centre. Park as above.

Travelling by train:-

There is a mainline station at Tiverton Parkway which services trains to London and the North. You will then need to travel by road as per the above.

There is a branch line station in Barnstaple. Services originate at Exeter St. Davids mainline station which also services lines to London, the far south west and the North.

Travelling by air:-

The nearest commercial airport is Exeter airport followed by Bristol. Follow the M5 from either airport to junction 27 and then directions as above.
