Bernard Smith one of top Samsung Premier service centres in UK!

Samsung have ranked Bernard Smith as the sixth highest performing service centre in the UK. We were scored against not only all the other TV service centres but also those covering mobile phones and domestic appliances. All service centres' performance is constantly measured with emphasis on repair turn around time, engineer training and customer satisfaction with the service provided. Not resting on our laurels, we are aiming to be even higher in the next set of results. As part of the ongoing relationship with Samsung, our service manager recently visited the company's European manufacturing plant in Golanta, Slovakia (see picture right) for training and management meetings relating to the latest products being released. Bernard Smith cease commercial it and telephony business

As from 1st February 2007, Bernard Smith have ceased their commercial IT and telephony business to concentrate on their core activities in audio visual markets. All affected customers have been written to and advised of the procedures for future support which is being handled by Mark Evans, well known to all our commercial customers. Mark has now left the company to run his own business which will support all former Bernard Smith IT and telephony clients as required. (January 2007)

Ken Edwards retires

After 18 years with Bernard Smith, most of which was spent as our shop floor manager, one of Barnstaple High Streets most famous and popular faces has retired. Ken Edwards has been a larger than life member of the team for longer than most and has taken well deserved retirement although quite how retired he will be with his farm to look after is another matter! As well as a gathering after work on his penultimate day, we were all delighted to join Ken and his family and friends at his retirement party in Shirwell.
